Description :
Every aspect of our contemporary life in the cities requires energy! Even playing at the park, you need light! As the Energy Experimenters are stating, it is very important to use sustainable energy for our activities, since non sustainable energy use has horrific consequences in the environment and human society. To support their beliefs, the Energy Experimenters built a sustainable energy park that uses wind power and solar energy to light the lamps and keep children playing safely late in the winter afternoon. Children learned how to build the electric circuits and to connect them to the sustainable energy production stations: the solar panels and the wind turbine. Congratulations Energy Experimenters!
On the occasion of the chapter on Energy in the course of Physics, we studied Renewable and Non-Renewable Energy Sources. We wondered about the consequences of using non-renewable energy sources, such as oil. Our research has revealed many serious problems from the continuous release of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. We are already experiencing climate change with unexpected temperatures, fires and floods!
So, we wanted to listen to the voice of those scientists who have long been claiming that we urgently need to change habits and use Renewable Energy Sources if we want to save the Earth and life on it! So, we experimented, gathered suitable materials and built the Energy Park of Sustainability, where the energy for lighting comes from the sun or wind. After all, our school belongs to the network of Sustainable Schools.
Our wish: May all parks and cities use “green energy”!
