Description :
The Esperanto 11 team launched into scientific exploration by mixing citric acid and soda, creating fizzy fuel for their homemade rockets. Witnessing the bubbly reaction culminate in flight sparked pure joy and understanding of chemical reactions. Their teamwork and enthusiasm for experimentation were truly inspiring. They bravely explored cause and effect, turning simple ingredients into thrilling demonstrations of physics. Excellent work, “Esperanto11” team !
Your spirit soared as high as your rockets!
Our team is a refugee class of D.Y.E.P. (Intercultural Education Units) in middle school. It consists of 15 students, with a core group of 11 students. We communicate in English. However, not all the children know the language, so their classmates step into the role of interpreter, usually speaking in Turkish. This is because most of the children have lived in Turkey before coming to our country. However, we get more help from Google Translate by translating into 4 different languages.
The name ESPERANTO was adopted from the international language, but for us it means both mime language and Informatics (Computer Science). For our participation in the festival, we were inspired by the Science United Project’s seminars that some of our teachers attended. So we decided to work on a rocket launch.🚀
