Description :
How does a breathalyzer work? Have you ever wondered about that? The Little Scientists are here to explain it to us. This group of children of Greek and Roma descent showed us how potassium dichromate and potassium permanganate react when they come into contact with alcohol and how, through appropriate tests, we can detect alcohol levels in the body.
Our team consists of five students who enjoy learning and working together in a supportive and friendly classroom. Our school promotes inclusion, respect, and equal opportunities for all children.
Some of our students come from Roma backgrounds and face daily challenges such as social exclusion and limited access to resources. Despite these difficulties, they show resilience, creativity, and a strong willingness to learn, enriching our team with their experiences.
We decided to participate in this project after learning about it from a colleague who took part last year. We are excited to collaborate, learn from others, and share our experiences as a team.

I loved watching this videos and hearing the excitement in all the students' voices. It took me back to my school days when the teacher would show a cool, colorful experiment and I would be in awe. You all are very smart and lucky to be exposed to these important experiments that relates to real life. You all have a bright future ahead of you.

Dear Little Scientists,
I found your experiment to be most interesting and exciting! At the same time I need to cogratulate you on your beautiful collaboration and polite discussion. I was amazed to learn about the test that police performs to check if drivers have drunk alcohol, something that is really serious! I guess chemistry is a very important science that can be useful and save lives!
Bravo!
