Description :
The Smoky Chemists really impressed us with their experiments!
With a series of impressive chemical reactions, rapid sublimation of dry ice, and rapid cooling of a banana and roses using liquid nitrogen, they created a video that left us amazed. All of this resulted in the production of thick smoke and steam, which is why they’re called the Smoky Chemists!
Of course, experiments like these require caution, we always remember to wear gloves and safety goggles, whether we’re in a lab or elsewhere!
Congrats to the Smoky Chemists for everything they showed us!
The Smoky Chemists conduct a series of demonstrations designed to reveal how materials respond to rapid temperature changes and catalytic reactions. Τhey perform the catalytic decomposition of hydrogen peroxide producing vigorous oxygen release and characteristic smoke‑like plumes. Using liquid nitrogen, the team freezes a banana and a rose, showing how organic structures become brittle at cryogenic temperatures. They then combine dry ice with water to generate dense CO₂ vapor, visualizing sublimation and heat transfer in real time. Through these experiments, the team transforms core chemical principles into clear, atmospheric visualizations of matter in motion.

It was also great that the team reminded everyone about safety, including gloves and goggles. Well done to the Smoky Chemists for making chemistry dramatic, careful, and fun.
