Description :
How are shadows created and how do they change? And how can we use this to create a shadow play? The Unicorns group did just that; they studied how shadows change depending on the position of the sun and the body, and then built a shadow theater, taking us on an adventure where shadows are the main characters.

The Unicorns
The “Unicorns” team explored the world of light and shadows through creative activities and observation of nature. After reading a story where the continuation of the story was hidden in the shadows, the children carried out simple experiments in the classroom and in the school yard. By playing “shadow tag” and observing the natural environment, they discovered how shadows change in size and direction at different times of the day. The project concluded with a small shadow puppet theatre.
